Agreeing to these terms

Toffee & Bao is made and run by Vinay Bansal in India ("we", "us"). By using the app or this website you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older to use Toffee & Bao.
• You sign in with your Google account. Keep it secure: anything done through your account is your responsibility.
• You can be paired with one partner at a time, and only with someone who agreed to pair by entering your code or opening your invite.

Your content

Your memories, photos, notes and messages belong to you. You give us permission to store them, process them so the app works (for example, resizing photos), and show them to your partner. That permission ends when the content is deleted.

Only share things you have the right to share. Don't upload photos of other people who wouldn't want them there.

Being kind

Please don't use Toffee & Bao to:

• harass, threaten or pressure your partner, or anyone else;
• share anything illegal, or anything involving minors;
• pair with someone without their knowledge, or access an account that isn't yours;
• break, overload, copy or reverse-engineer the app, or get around its limits.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Plus subscriptions

• Plus is a paid subscription for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. When one partner subscribes, Plus unlocks for both partners while you're paired.
• You buy Plus through Google Play, and payment is charged to your Google Play account. Prices are shown in the app and on Google Play before you pay.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can cancel any time in Google Play, and Plus stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. Ask Google Play first. If you're stuck, email us and we'll try to help.
• If we change the price, Google Play will tell you before the change affects you.

Unpairing and leaving

Either partner can unpair at any time. Your shared space is kept for 30 days in case you change your mind, then deleted. Either of you can also delete your account, which deletes your shared space for both of you. See how to delete your account.

Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play.

The legal bits

We work hard to keep Toffee & Bao running and your data safe, but the app is provided "as is". We can't promise it will always be available, error-free or that every hug arrives instantly, because phones, networks and notifications sometimes misbehave.

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or unexpected losses from using the app, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for Plus in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Toffee & Bao after that, you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
