- Unpair, and your shared space is deleted after 30 days. Delete your account, and it's removed for both of you.
Who we are
Toffee & Bao is a couples app made and run by Vinay Bansal in India ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Toffee & Bao app for Android and this website.
What we collect

We don't collect your contacts, your location or your browsing history, and this website doesn't use cookies or trackers.
How we use it
- To run the app: show your shared space to you and your partner, and deliver hugs, stickers and moods.
- To send the notifications you've allowed, respecting your quiet hours.
- To unlock Plus for both of you when one of you subscribes.
- To keep the service safe, and to fix things when they break.
We never use your memories, photos or messages for advertising, and we never sell them.
Who sees it
Your partner, and only your partner, sees what you share in your space. Our database is set up so that each couple's data can only be read by the two people in it.
We use a few trusted services to run the app. They handle data only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: our database, sign-in and photo storage
- Google Sign-In: to sign you in
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): to deliver notifications
- Google Play and RevenueCat: to handle Plus subscriptions
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Motion sensors
Toffee & Bao uses your phone's motion sensor to notice a shake when you send a mood, and to tell when your phone is face down during Date Mode. That happens on your phone. Only the result, like how strong your mood was or whether the date is still going, is shared with your partner.
Where it's stored
Your data is stored with Supabase in Mumbai, India (AWS ap-south-1). It travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
How long we keep it
- While you're paired, your shared space stays as long as you use the app.
- If you unpair, we keep your shared space for 30 days in case you change your mind. If you pair with each other again in that time, everything comes back. After 30 days it's deleted for good, photos included.
- If you delete your account, your account and your couple's shared data are deleted, for both of you. Your partner is told the next time they open the app.
Your choices
- Edit or delete memories and notes at any time.
- Turn notifications off in your phone's settings, or set quiet hours in the app.
- Unpair, or delete your account, from Profile in the app. Here's how.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing vinay5555bansal@gmail.com.
Age
Toffee & Bao is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think a child is using the app, tell us and we'll delete their account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll also let you know in the app.
